teal dear about me, books and reading
(I originally started this entry when I was pregnant with the Q, when my belly was big enough to make a nice spot to rest a book when reading. The Q did not find this as entertaining, and always attempt to kick the book off of his butt).
( I started reading print fiction again last year, and it got me thinking about how I engage with physical and internet-based texts and how that's changed over the years. ) -
Not so auspicious start to the new year.
Blerg. Just now crawling out from under the horrible cold I got to start the new year with. At first I thought it was Q's Christmas gift to Mom and Dad, but his was just two days of a runny nose, thankfully, not the ten days of Sinus Apocalypse I had ( Read more... ) -

Things and stuff.
- Feeling all jealous of my peeps at Penguicon. Granted, I'd probably sleep through the whole thing if I tried to go, but still.
- Today was my last day of work for the next 14 weeks. It feels weird.
- But v. glad it was last day of work, since I am definitely sick and utterly exhausted. Now coughing up phlegm. Extra not fun at 9 months ( Read more... )

- I have purchased my ticket for IM2. Now watch me go into labor the day before. *eyeballs fetal occupant*
- I have acquired the dwinn's cold, on top of my seasonal allergies and a sinus flare. Mucinex is my new best friend.
- Tomorrow is my last day of work. I may be celebrating by reminding my boss of this every time I see her.

Garden: I want to get out in the garden so bad, but with the whole almost 9 months pregnant thing, my energy does not match my desire. Also there's that whole can't bend over thing. I think tomorrow I'll drag a stool out there and see if I can weed sitting on that. The dandelions will take over otherwise.

So, anyway. Still here, still pregnant, only for another month or so. Have been quiet due to dealing with the fallout some complications which risked me out of midwife care and into the wonderful world of high risk obstetrics.
