Shape up or ship out, 2012...

Hello, world. 2012 continues to be annoying. Since I last I posted I recovered from my previous illness just in time to come down with strep throat and now that that's gone, I have yet another cold. Screw you, germs.

And of course, work has gotten even weirder - another coworker is leaving. That's a turnover of five people over four positions in 13 months. When we do change, we do all the change.

That light at the end of the tunnel is the oncoming train that just ran me over, and
I'm sort of resigned to acknowledging that it will loop around the track again soon. Everything will ramp back up with the new supervisor coming in and the likelihood of a major office restructure, given that two of the vacant positions in our office may not be refilled (or may end up merged into one position). Oy.

But now it's just cleaning up the mess of the last few months, planning retirement and leaving parties and lunches and gift collections, and the cycle will start anew, ad absurdium.

In other news, aliens stole my baby and replaced him with this awesome little kid. I know I keep saying this. But I am still shocked I have an almost two year old, and he is still awesome. And has a thing for hats all of a sudden. And apparently gloves. According to daycare he wants to wear his gloves all the time.

Q shows off his fancy (Target dollar bin) Easter hat.

Rocking my floppy garden hat.
