Things are looking upward. terrier_girl is feeling better and has almost her full range of motion back. The weekend flew by. Friday night was Earthdawn with mindways, keshwyn, et. al. Stopped off at rigel’s to lend her a costume piece. The crocuses are now covered in snow. A Nor’easter is dumping a few inches of slushy white stuff on our yard. I hear that folks further west are getting up to a foot. I’m happy to be getting the lesser amount.

After the long PhD stretch, I feel like we're coming back to life. The family's spent so long in work mode that it still feels like a rare treat to go out or see friends. It was a pleasant change yesterday to hear the gutters gurgling after so much snow and ice. And yesterdays precipitation amounted to little more than some frozen slush. I'm a satisfied customer.

Last night terrier_girl and I had keshwyn and mindways over for dinner. It was wonderful to catch up and talk. We also got to break into some of the goods from our new meat share. I did up a boneless leg of lamb with sweet potato pure and sauted kale, both veggies from the tail end of our farm share. Were catching up on things undone since the start of the PhD push. Paperwork, housework, home repair, and long-term planning projects are falling like autumn leaves.
