LJ was down yesterday morning, so here’s my time traveling post:
The weekend flew by. Friday night was Earthdawn with
mindways,
keshwyn, et. al. Stopped off at
rigel’s to lend her a costume piece. Saturday was with Poppy, Godson, and V at the
Kaleidoscope Children’s Museum in Manchester, NH. Godon’s parents have been so busy, fun has fallen a little by the wayside. It was great to have Poppy join us for an outing and wonderful to see her and Godson laughing and playing. Saturday night I was going to review my plans for a custom kitchen cupboard, but instead I had scotch and chocolate (not to be confused with the lovely
Scotch and Chocolate by Nickel Creek) and watched
This Is Spinal Tap with
iresprite and friends. Sunday
terrier_girl suffered from crummy tummy, so instead of a catch up at work day it was errand day. V and I had fun at the supermarket and playing in the yard. Then the Grandmas came over and I hung Terrier’s diploma and the beautiful embrodiery of the
2007 O’Donnell Model of the Replication Fork. Then it was nap time and I scooted out. I picked up a toddler bed from the girl who will eventually be my sister-in-law’s parents. I’ve now got a pair of new sneakers to break in. Got bumped in a highly suspicious way at BJs, but before I could check my wallet realized that it was Elmer that bumped me. A great relief. Came back in time for V and Terrier to wake up. Our mechanic stopped by to give us a pot of baby-congratulatory pansies. I plan on retaliating with a thank you note written on the back of one of Viv’s newest photos. Then I promptly collapsed onto the couch in a fug of gross media consumption. This morning I kick started the kitchen cleanup, weighed myself (still at 153, but feeling much better now that I’m back on the diet), transplanted the pumpkin seedlings which were threatening to consume the entire seed tray, backed up computer, cleaned the dining room table, marveled at the clean floor in the living/play room, and started on my Monday morning correspondence and schedule checking.
And this morning I am tired of eating eggs, so I’ve got a piping, strong bowl of miso soup with shitake mushrooms for breakfast. Yum.
