For me, the weekend consists of a lot of tv catch-up wherein I watch the shows I recorded/missed over the week. So far I've watched The Biggest Loser (urrrrgh! cliffhanger!), Heroes, Lost, and Flashpoint. Oh! And the season finale of Burn Notice. God, I love Fi. She's so fucking awesome. :-)

So, Nikki had his vet exam this morning. I thought he was due for his rabies shot, but, no, not so much. And because of his age, he's 15 1/2, the vet decided to postpone his distemper until next year when he gets his rabies ( Read more... )

Nikki had his grooming appointment today, and now he's half the cat he was this morning. :-) He also was not terribly pleased by the experience if his vocalizations were any indication. I finally watched a bit of the Olympics last night - men's gymnastics and swimming. I almost didn't watch anything because I seemed to be cursed with only tuning in when they're showing stupid Volleyball. Picked up Nikki and he's.... OMG, that poor cat. They did trim him right down, and with his hyperthyroidism, he's nothing but skin and bones. He looks like the poster cat for a relief drive. Alas, I have an unhappy kitty right now. Because of his hyperthyroidism, he isn't grooming himself as he should. Being a long-haired cat, this leads to tangles and mats and a generally homeless, not-cared-for look. He hates been brushed or combed, especially where there are tangles, and so I haven't been able to untangle the mess without ending ( Read more... )
