So, I guess that means I'm going
I made my flight and hotel and cat boarding reservations today for Writercon 2009 this summer, and turned in my leave request. I bought my Writercon/cocktail party tickets when they first went on sale.
I'll be arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving Monday afternoon. I wanted an earlier flight on Monday, but 3:05 pm was the earliest going to Pittsburgh. Its non-stop, so if all goes well, I'll be home in plenty of time to drive to the vet's to pick up Nikki.
Speaking of whom, he had a bit of a traumatic day today. Since he's an old man, his long hair has a tendency to get matted, so he has to go periodically to the groomer to get trimmed. Today was that day. He was not well pleased, but as soon as we got back home, I gave him some nummy gooshy food, and all was forgiven. Plus I imagine he feels better without matted hair. He didn't have much yet, but I didn't want to wait until it was a real mess. I only waited this long because I thought it was too cold to trim him.
He's not going to be any happier with me Saturday when we drive to the vet's to get blood drawn for his T-4 test. He really hates that. Poor pumpkin.
