In one week I was presented with several opposing viewpoints of shows that are supposed to take place in New York. Of the nrew lot, all were fortunately produced in the City, even those that wre supposed to take place elsewhere.  (The Good Wife is supposed to take place in Chicago, but it's filmed here.)

Deal with it; although online is nice (and v. convenient for those of us who don't keep mundane hours), we're all still watching more plain old TV than anything else.

Good news: I bought the ClearTV® antenna as seen on TV. It's a thin 8 in. metal square that attaches to the window with two cheap suction cups, and it seems to work as advertised. The problem  lies not my tuner box or my antenna. I came home from FISTFA in a healthy rainstorm, tried rescanning one more time, and got, of all things, channel 7 bright & clear for about 12 hours. BUT ONLY Channel 7. A rescan @ 11AM traded ABC for NBC so I could see This Week, ( Read more... )

CBS ads mention that after they split w/ Time Warner Cable, you still have alternatives. But they don't mention buying an antenna and watching FOR FREE! 

Disclaimer: I am not a foodie or a cook. I don't follow the woman on TV, I never got into her cooking style, wouldn't have bought any of her stuff before her scandal and probably will not in future. There's a helicopter out my window hovering to photograph a car fire that's cutting access to the George Washington Bridge, which is just down the street from me. I can only know this becuase I was able to watch Eyewitness News online. The airborne signal for all my available channels  is being blocked by that helicopter.
