My Digital TV Nightmare: Crise du Jour

The digital tuner started sucking dead air from last night to now. I checked my connections, same as usual and rescanned. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on a perfectly clear night followed by a perfectly clear day, the kind of weather 9/11 happened on. The machine's timer reverted to Midnight Jan 1 this mourning and, repeat fter me: NO PROGRAM, WEAK SIGNAL. I don't know if this is only my eqpt or my area, but I can feel the jaws of darkness closing on me. I don't even now what is causing this.
Currently watching Good Day NY online. WABC TV would let me watch channel 7 online ONLY if I had a cable provider's account number & password. WHAT A GYP! There's still France 24, Hulu and YouTube, but it's like watching TV with a manual transmission. An amazing number of web searches have turned up fee-based crap and downloads that won't work on OS-X. The promise of Digitial TV has been a big, fat lie; the Monsters appear to be winning. Regardless, I shall continue to follow Freedom on the airwaves now and forever.
