As it stands right now psychotherapy is a bourgeois sort of practice. Shrinks can set up private practices only dealing with neurotics and other functionally ill people, often times refusing to deal with psychotics or hardcore schizophrenics (as Laing called them). I think the concept of "Police" is outdated. We need to start thinking about community oriented "Security." I think professors form their habits over time. My committee is in the habit of simply rejecting every and all first drafts I give them.
