Proper Footwear Is Very Important

Playing the role
I just thrashed my throat by voicing a hag called The Mother of Flies for our role playing game. Totally worth it, but I'm going to be gargling orange juice for the rest of the night. I make one damned scary hag.
That's kinda an odd boast, come to think of it.

Forgot to mention . . .
Tuesday was International Peace Day, or some such. Luka informed me of this by saying, "Hey, it's Peace Day!" and booting me in the leg. "That's what you get for letting your guard down." I've kept her in the U.S. too long. -
Dr. Skullard cries too much. Diagnosis?
Yesterday I watched the 64th and final episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which was not only a very enjoyable show to watch but also marks the longest week-to-week viewing commitment I've ever sustained since the advent of DVDs. "Can I help you?" "Nah, just lookin'."
Sunday was fantastic. Luka's birthday has become my favorite day of the year, and Sunday we celebrated by driving down to the Mall of America to gawk, shop and act like fools. It's about three hours down to get there, three back, but the company makes the trip fun. We did lotsa silliness, but I just thought I'd share one episode in particular.

Those things which are under my bed
It takes me forever to finish a book these days, but I took in Christopher Moore's Fool and managed to savor every page. Every once in a while there's a book that seems like it was tailor written for my own personal enjoyment, and this was one of those that feeds such narcissism.
