The new management of my apartment building has decided that the place is too far gone for piecemeal solutions, and has decided to renovate the entire complex, which means that all the tenants are being kicked out by the end of September. Finally. Unfortunately, it only goes to show how far I have to go in cleaning this place.

Somebody on my floor plugged in one too many appliances (not me this time) and blew the fuse, so no power till tomorrow. And thus I won't be responding much on the internet due to limited coffeeshop time.

I was thrilled, thrilled I tell you, to find out my paycheck was shorted this week. And in a way not having anything to do with me failing to punch in or out, so I couldn't detect it ahead of time. So, when I got home tonight, I found a notice on my door that my rent is late, and if I don't pay before tomorrow, the management will sic the sheriff on me. Since I paid on time, the exact amount the letter they sent me said to, and they've cashed my check, this makes no sense. I can only presume that the letter was in error--twice. I went to the doctor yesterday, who said I could go back to work half-days, so I'm back in my apartment, huzzah!
