There is nothing quite like Compline at St Mark's. At least, not that I've experienced. Reading this review of St Mark's compline service made me desperately homesick for HYC. *sigh* It really is like that every single Sunday evening. If you are reading this and live in the Seattle area, do go check it out sometime.

I've been making a playlist on iTunes of the songs that remind me of my JYC, HYC, 6-Day and peripheral Episcopal Youth adventures and people from "the good old days" (1991-1997). I don't really expect it to interest anyone else, but I exorcising a little nostalgia.

Last night, I dreamed about HYC. I don't remember much about the dream except that TKF and I were singing one of the old songs, and I woke up with that sunshiny feeling that HYC hugs always leave behind. It was nice, and now I am feeling all nostalgic. I miss my people.

Here I am in Seattle, staying once again at ellieleinart's place. This evening I went to Compline service at St Mark's Cathedral, which I hadn't done since highschool. In case anyone is interested, today marks eight years to the day since my first kiss (anyone else remember slimy Darrell Laramie and the infamous Puyallup party?). How the time does fly.... The only reason I remember is because A) it was also the worst day of my life and B) it was Shakespeare's birthday. Yup, I am a geek.

I'm not online much these days. This is because I am now in a house with only one phone line, so it wouldn't be fair of me to tie up Ian's mom's phone all the time. It has been very busy lately.
