What has happened has absolutely nothing to do with ice time ( ... )

The accusations that the coach is being held under are of course not solely about the ice time. Today myself and a group of others personally talked to the athletic director and the human resources director. These accusers, yourself probably being one of them (but how would we know, as you have chosen to speak anonymously), have used things like 'he's mean and nasty' as the basis of your argument. You know what? Maybe I wouldn't use the same kind of attitude Bill uses to coach the team but whether you want to argue it or not, it works. How many state championships have we won? The fact of the matter is that the 'ringleader' of the accusers IS upset about the issue of ice time; something that sparked other irrational qualms about the organization ( ... )

Just a few questions.
You say " Fox's attitude may not be the best but it works." Is this the idea you plan on going through life with? Have you ever thought about what you are saying? Giving into peer pressure and drinking is not the best way to make friends, but its ok because it works. Slitting your wrists isnt the best way to relieve stress, but it works so its ok to do. And starving yourself isnt the best way to look like the girl on the magazine, but its ok because it works. Is it really ok?
If this is how you plan to go through life, always excpeting the leftovers and always being ok with it "because it works".Thats sad.

And as for the boss comparison. If I had a boss that was a jerk, I sure wouldnt let him walk all over me and let myself get harassed. I'd try to stop the situation and try to something about it because I have self respect.

Re-read the first two sentences of your second to last paragraph. and then THINK.

You're comparing our coaching to 'slitting your wrists' and 'starving yourself', and you're telling me to THINK. Good grief.

We can argue as much as you want whether it is or isnt about ice time, but even the so called 'real' arguement, that players were 'verbally hurt' by him is still weak in itself. This is a varsity sport. Toughen up or go home ( ... )

5. How many state championships have you won? The answer is 100 percent irrelevant and the fact that this has undue importance is reflective of the poor coaching you have received. First of all, Bill Fox did not earn the state championships, you did. The girls had the talent coming in. Fundamentally, Bill Fox failed to develop that talent. You girls would have won with Dr. Lew coaching. Even if, for the sake of argument, your fundamentals improved under Coach Fox, his coaching philosophy is not required to achieve those results. You could have achieved the same results with a coaching philosophy that stressed individual and team development as players and people. The two coaches in the NBA finals are prime examples of “winners” who totally contradict Bill Fox’s methodology. Does “it work” to achieve a state championship? Maybe. But that is the wrong question ( ... )

I'll ask you this, if it was really THAT BAD, why in the 7 years the team has been around has not one player walked. You say, in spite of Bill Fox it was for the love of the team, but honestly if it was that terrible and awful you'd think at least one person would quit? The due process of this "very extensive and diligent investigation" was terrible. Most of it involved a single parent calling a slew of people, ranging from past players to opposing coaches to get them to go against Bill Fox. Did you know that Dr.O'malley, probably one of the closest people to Bill, was never contacted until he demanded an audience? The investigation into these matters was nothing of the sort. It as a witchhunt to remove the current coaching staff, as I said before, caused by a few disgruntled individuals. One such who told another parent at the school board meeting on Monday 'I got my way'. The parents involved with bringing down Coach Fox not only are doing it behind people's backs and behind closed doors, but are behaving like children ( ... )

IF you properly quoted a parent as boastful then that parent should not have said that. That remark is childish, but nothing compared to the kids who give their "beloved" teammates the finger, who threaten to do something mean to them, who call them F*faces in writing; who insist on dwelling on the past, and thus really threaten to destroy the future ( ... )

First of all I was not involved in giving other teammates the finger or calling them 'F*faces' in an email. Don't paint everyone that doesn't support your opinion with the same broad brush.

How can you say South hockey will change for the better? Do you really think that the administration is going to find someone willing to sacrifice as much time as the current staff has, and with only 3 months until the next school year? I think not.

This fight to get the coach fired is what is destroying the team, not the people rallying against it. I'm not 'kicking up dirt' at anyone either. This is my journal, and this is where I am allowed to express my own opinion. If people want to respond to it, so be it but this is not a personal tiff on private email.

Who are you to judge the due process of this investigation?

And who are you to say its valid? I don't even know what role you play in this.
