Day #2

Okay, I am noticing something weird and bad, but it might be completely in my head (more likely). When I am really unclear about the legitimacy of a feeling or intuition, I tend to wait a week to see whether that feeling or intuition remains constant or clears itself up. Therefore, let's call this weirdness day #1 (hopefully not of 7).

A good friend of my brother's and therefore of our family's, recently committed suicide by drug overdose. He was young, talented, smart, and friendly. I have a picture of him in my mind of being so alive and beaming, balancing on walls and climbing trees, creating amazing art. I returned from Quebec with French on my tongue, a renewed love for "System of a Down," all 20 digits (surprisingly enough), a bond with 4 pleasant people, some french magazines I stole, and a destroyed-beyond-recognition scratchy voice from breathing -30' air for 9 days.
