Lycurgus Legacy 3.0
Back! After an extended break where I wrestled with the game to the point where I thought my head would explode, including one glitch that I should have given up on overcoming but was too bullheaded to know where to stop. But more on that later, let's get to the Sims. Last time: Mika took over as heir and the next alpha of the pack, Izzy and Barry achieved their LTWs, Mika had unprotected sex with a fairy and was feeling a little queasy, and it was time for Izzy and Barry's birthdays. Picking up there...
Izzy makes this whole elder thing work.
So does Barry, for that matter.
As if anyone actually doubted it, Mika is in fact pregnant. But the question is... will the baby be a werewolf and in the running to be the next pack alpha?
Mika: So, I know I'm starting to look all gross and pregnant, and I'm also unemployed, but... yeah?
Sebastian: No. No, definitely not.
The good thing about being pregnant is that it means Mika gets a break from hunting sperm donors to work on her painting skills. What? It's not like I'm going to completely waste valuable time by letting her take it easy.
This maid is entirely too pleased to be in a house full of werewolves. Supernatural Fan trait? We may never know.
Hey, at least I give the pregnant werewolf breaks to eat. I'm not a completely heartless Simgod.
...just mostly. That guitar skill is falling a little behind. I'm not the one that sent her outside to do it, though.
True fact: excessive guitar playing can induce labor in Sims.
Obligatory shot to show that Mika did the responsible thing and had the baby at the hospital...
And a few Sim hours later, the truth is revealed! Mika and Kai's daughter Lenore takes after her father, and therefore is not in the running to take over the pack. Back to the mate hunt for you, Mika!
Whether or not her daughter can be an heir aside, Mika starts off on a pretty good note, as far as parenting goes. You know, for a Sim.
And Lenore gets a very special friend to keep her company. Have to admit, I'm pretty excited to see how these work, I haven't played any kids since I started catching up on my EPs.
Mika's first stop is the gym to work off some of that pregnancy weight... and also to try to run into some cute guys.
Mika: Hey! I'm not gross and pregnant anymore, do you want--
Sebastian: No. No, no, and more no.
Mika: But I'm in a legacy!
Sebastian: Oh, that changes everything. Now the answer is hell no.
Mika: And now I have a baby, and no man is interested in me, but I still have to have more kids because my daughter isn't a werewolf, and... hey, you're a pretty good listener.
Robbie: You know, this isn't the weirdest thing I've heard since I got this job.
And she strikes out again. Seriously, Mika, don't make me regret choosing you as the heir.
The mixologist is seriously the only guy she's been able to talk to for more than a few minutes without getting shot down, so I have her invite him over. Unfortunately his schedule is a little crazy, since he has to be at work whenever the place is open. Considering Mika's luck with guys, this might be worth it if he can put up with her.
...I'll be honest, it's been a few months, I don't know why I took this cap.
Mika: And I'm not sure why there's a ghost on my front porch. I think we're even.
Izzy: So you're the little snack that my daughter popped out, hm? I guess you're pretty cute. I won't eat you... yet.
Still working on that mixologist.

Whatcha doin' down there, Lenore?
Lenore: You know, growing up, being adorable, wondering why my mom can't bother to be here for my birthday.
Don't worry, Lenore! She's just running a little late getting your birthday present! Kai (Lenore's daddy, if you've forgotten - it's been a while) called and said that he had puppies to be adopted, and so I sent Mika over to grab one. A girl needs a dog, after all, and if it's a present from her deadbeat dad... well, that just makes it better, right?
In other news, Mika really knows how to pick a romantic setting, doesn't she? Hey, she has to catch the guy when he's not working, and if this is the only way to do it...
Mika: So, bartender, I have this problem. See, I have this really great fiancé. I'm totally in love with him. But he works all the time, and the only way I can spend any time with him is to come see him at work. I really wish that he could take a few minutes away from the bar so I can show him how much I miss him.
Robbie: Man, he sounds like a jackass, ignoring a pretty thing like you. How about I take you on a little at-work date to make you feel better?
Mika: That would be perfect.
Of course, he kicks her ass. Worth it.
It's a good thing Lenore has that mysterious present. She spends all of her time with it, while mommy's out trying to get her a new daddy.
...or, you know, she could play with her puppy. But no, her toy still wins.
Finally, at a park near the Lycurgus family home, Mika and Robbie meet up before he has to go to work for a private ceremony. And this is where the borkage happened.
I got them married, and then when the game attempted to combine him with the family... crash. When I pulled it back up, he refused to cooperate and get married. And then the next time I managed to get them hitched, his last name didn't change and he didn't become part of the household. Then when I used cheats to move him in (shut up, I was getting desperate) he got stuck in this infinite loop of going to moonlight as a mixologist from which I could not liberate him. Finally, frustrated beyond belief, I put the game aside for a while... and then when I decided to give it another try, low and behold there was a patch, and everything went smoothly. That said, I'd like to formally introduce you to Mika's new hubby!
I am excite. Evil, hot-headed, lucky... and I forgot to add it, but his LTW is Alchemy Artisan. This guy? Is going to be awesome. Way to go, Mika, you landed a winner! And he was well worth every bit of trouble he gave me, the bastard.
Because babies.
And victory!
Mika's skills have improved quite a bit since the last time she painted her pregnancy away.
Lenore: Hi, I still exist.
Izzy and Barry: Shut up, Meg.
And this is where I took another long break from playing to remodel the house! Give yourself a brief tour, it's pretty basic, and hopefully spacious enough that I never have to touch the damn thing again. Of course, then Uni patch hit, and all the problems with mods, and the need to do a test lot (more on that later, as well, and yes that means exactly what you think), and now we're back!
Evil or not, Robbie is a pretty kickass husband, and he and Mika are crazy about each other. Of course, when Mika's distracted...
Mika: Heeey, Marco! No, I'm not too busy to talk, just spending some time with my husband, being pregnant... you know, all of that stuff. So what are you up to?
Whatchu sneakin' for, Robbie?
o i c. Carry on with your evil self, sir.
Barry: Oh shit my heart.
Robbie: Mwahaha, who's the man of the house now?
At least, for this pregnancy, Mika doesn't spend all her time skilling alone. Skilling together is so much better, right?
Mika: Marco! It's so good to hear from you! Oh, you said my husband told you that you should call me more? That's so sweet of him!
Oh, no, it's not like he wants to sneak off and be evil while you're busy talking, not at all.
Except for the part where he totally does. Oh, Robbie, you may be pretty but you aren't very bright, don't you know how risky it is to piss Izzy Lycurgus off?
Izzy: Hello... son. Time to introduce you to the part of the family that Mika didn't want you to see.
Robbie: Uh, what just happened?
No time to worry about that, because...
