It's been a busy week which has seen me rack up overtime - I hate overtime as I have to sit and justify it. Anyway, a massive system upgrade was successfully completed under my auspice. Organising somewhere in the region of 30 people to health check a system across about 6 departments, some of whom I've not dealt with before has been tiring.

The final analysis is looking good....

I'm writing in various swathes, lyrics, MVHD 1 and MVHD 2. Nailed a concept for a song recently - sad song but good. MVHD 1 has reached 3rd chapter editing by oryctolagus, so almost there. Today we've both been ill with symptoms close to the Norovirus. Anyone else I wonder. I'm in Aylesbury tomorrow and Tuesday which is a massive blow. Aylesbury today for meeting upon meeting - Journey out 2:16:01. Journey back 2:10:05. Bad weather. High winds, pouring rain and road grit. Joy - none. Tired yes. 4.5 hours riding time is too long a day when there's work involved.

Work this morning...damn. Open house this evening from about about 19:30.

I suppose if you look at how infrequent these posts have become it is a sign of how truly busy I am. Mainly work and band. More rehearsal last night and moving equipment in torrential rain - which dampened no ones spirits at all. More gigs on the horizon and some new band bits and pieces coming up. Gig in Blackpool was great. Misery of Sound's music policy was really good. First band went on a bit longer than expected so the last 2 bands had to cut their set's short. Eternal Fall were really good. Work is keeping me busy. oryctolagus is ill and has been off work today.

On Monday the company moved to its new, plush, harbourside offices. I rode in - to motorcycle parking space 13, picked up bike clothing locker 13. New mouse, new keyboard, same old base unit and monitor. Slightly smaller desk, exceptionally better view - now I have a window seat with views onto the harbour and the rich buggers on the other side ( Read more... )
