A patient that I had been following for the past month died today. :(  It was unexpected.  She was only 47 years old.

She was admitted to the hospital about a month ago with severe diverticulitis.  So, the GI surgeon performed an colectomy (removal of part of her large intestine and reattached it) last month.  Well, after the surgery she wasn't ( Read more... )

Spring is only 20 days away.  Well, girls, it looks like we will not be having Spring here in Maine this year.  Unless it really starts to warm up and melt the huge snowbanks soon.
