The landlord has replaced the washing machine. Apparently - without bothering to put up a note of any kind - the washer now takes one loonie and one quarter. Which is the same amount it took before, $1.25, but now means I have to squirrel away loonies too. Which is a pain.

I hate renting.

*sigh* The guys upstairs have been there for a week, and what day do they choose to go thumping and bumping and moving furniture around right over our heads? The day my hubby has a migraine. The washer appears to be fixed now - the drum hadn't been rotating, so of course none of the clothes got wrung out - but the dryer is still down. Please, let them be replacing it. It's older than I am! It's been paid for several times over by now!

Back to work today. Yay?

Apparently the washer is now broken, too. Brill.

For some things, I am still grateful to be living in an apartment. For instance, when the dryer breaks down before I have a chance to dry my second load of towels ( Read more... )
