Today was my last day of work until January 8th. Winter Break officially starts tomorrow, and I am tremendously grateful. I'm worn out, burnt out and exhausted. Bring on the sleep, baby. I'm ready for it.

Up for work at 6am + walking an unplanned-for five miles at 9am + unexpectedly having to fill in for the cashier at 11:30am and processing 700 kids through my line in 2 hour's time + getting home and cleaning like crazy + calling a friend whose son is (still) in the hospital and asking how his (second) emergency surgery went + trying to track down ( Read more... )

Feeling marginally better, probably because I'm hopped up on so much cold medication that I can't really feel anything else. I'm trying really hard to avoid pneumonia and/or laryngitis and/or strep throat, all of which I've had around this time of year before. Yech.
