I do have more to say about the fire situation.

Barring a true miracle, it looks as if my aunt and uncle's cabin in Running Springs has indeed been lost to the Slide Fire, which picked up like crazy this morning and took out more than 100 homes and cabins (including theirs).

Half the state of California is apparently on fire tonight.

As I write this, there are at least 11 different fires burning, and tomorrow is actually supposed to be worse because of high Santa Ana winds ( Read more... )
