Today we put our older dog, Sophie, to sleep. She hadn't really been eating much of anything but a handful of deli turkey and some roasted chicken for nearly two weeks now, and last night she laid down and didn't get back up until AHH picked her up to take her to the vet this afternoon; so while it wasn't a surprise, it was still really sad. I'm back from our family trip to the Redwoods! It was GREAT - fun and interesting and warm and it was really nice to spend dedicated, non-stressful family time together for an extended period for the first time since I went back to work in 2009, basically.
