for the Fourth of July weekend, today. Since I was going to be gone four days, I decided to take a little extra vacation to gird my loins. So, I actually took off from this past Thursday through next Wednesday. Hahaha, guess who called Saturday night to say she wasn't coming this week after all? Yep. This time because she missed her train. She showed up for the train on Friday and they said her train was on Thursday. Nancy claimed it ran different days of the week, depending on the week. Busy and productive week at work. Our new employee started Monday. She seems to be picking up things quickly, which is very nice. Her first week was a little more eventful than anyone expected, as she had a death in the family and had to miss a day and a half out of it. My best friend is coming back from England to stay with me! Eeeeee! I am so thrilled. I haven't seen N. in, hmmmmm, 8 years? We talk at least once a month, but we haven't been able to get together in forever! but at least I got the biggest, baddest chore done--my taxes! And while I'll be paying into the Feds again this year, it's not nearly as much as last year thanks to charitable deductions.
