Hello, 2011
I have been incredibly awful with updating lately. I keep remembering that I need to, but then forgetting about 5 minutes later, or being too lazy.
We went to Ben and Charise's for New Years and were joined by [the newly engaged!!!] Scottie and Kristen, and Mel. Even though they were Robert's friends I had a good time for the most part. Except when people were being lame and staring at their phones or computers or magazines (I felt like I needed some sort of portable technology with me too... alas). The food was totally tasty at least. We decided that next year we're going to just bring the dog up with us and leave from Columbus instead of going back for him and leaving from Cincinnati the next day. Too much extra driving.
I've been back in the lab for about a week and a half now. It still sucks. A lot of my cells are still less than satisfactory and refuse to be healthy. I still ruin everything I touch and I get this feeling that Sandro doesn't like me much anymore. Or maybe it's just because it's grant time. Who knows.
Robert finally got a job!! Elite R&W gave him a job shortly after New Year's and he's been working ever since. It's such a relief that we'll have that much "extra" money a month... I feel like we can finally start saving money again! I haven't truly put money into my savings account since... oh, about a year ago when I had to pay for that wedding stuff. :P Ahhhh relief. :)
