Quote of the Day: August 14, 2007
"Bum! Bum! Not butt. Americans have butts; we have bums. I am a pain in the bum."

Highway 93, Banff National Park August 2007

Do any of you get the feeling like you're running non-stop and although you recognize it there is nothing, and I mean, nothing you can do to stop it? Yeah. So. I've been doing that for a while now. The last three weekends in a row have been spent travelling Alberta in tow of my boyfriend. We've been at Gull Lake. We've been to Drumheller. And last weekend we were near Nordegg. And frankly, I've now seen more more more more of Alberta than I had ever before. 2006 was seeing Canada. 2007 has been seeing Alberta.

This past weekend... The Boy drove out to Crimson Lake, a campground near Rocky Mountain House, on Friday and I joined him Saturday after work. I worked I worked I worked. I drove I drove I drove. We spent the night there and were joined by his parents the next day where we convoyed to Big Horn Damn past Nordegg. Imagine if you will, eight people, three trucks, three quads, a three trailers a motor home and my car all travelling down Highway 11. It was great fun. We went quading. We saw the mountains and we spent sometime together. I drove back Monday through the mountains and much music was listened to, photos taken, scenery seen.

The weekend before was all about Drumheller. This was August Long and we went out on Thursday, commuted back on Friday, worked, drove back out, camped, came back Monday. We hiked. We ate really well. Friends came out. We drank. Oh. How we drank. First time drinking Absinthe. It was great fun. Watched the sky burn with thunder. Made out in the rain. Had the most amazing sex. Watched shooting stars. Laughed with old friends. Went to the museum. Saw dinosaurs. Knees hurt though. Big time. BIG FUCKING TIME. Don't know what to do about it though short of new knees.

Now. I work all week. Then I go to Edmonton. I'm boyfriendless until I get back on Tuesday. And this pace doesn't end there. Before the end of September I have more camping planned, two weddings, a birthday, so much else too... And then. And then. Christmas season begins. Now. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. I love having stuff to do and being with someone I love. But I like some me time too. Really badly. I'm yearning for it.

Oh. And I'm madly in love. Just so you know.

just life, thoughts, on the road, photo, love
