Some time ago I downloaded The Worm Ouroboros to my kindle. I tried reading it 20-some-odd years ago and got maybe 50 pages in before I gave up. We've been watching The Vicar of Dibley, and one episode has the foul-mouthed farmer Owen giving up swearing for Lent. I guess British TV doesn't allow "fuck" or "shit" (or "shite"), since I've never heard them on any of the comedies we get on this side of the pond.
