Some time ago I downloaded The Worm Ouroboros to my kindle. I tried reading it 20-some-odd years ago and got maybe 50 pages in before I gave up. I remember very little of it from that time except that it just didn't catch me. Since it was on my kindle, and I needed something to read, I decided to give it another try. It bores me to tears. Sense and Sensibility. This is the first one I read, about 12 years ago, and it bored me to tears. I set aside reading any Austen until Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was published. I vowed I'd read the original before reading the parody. I'm glad I did.

Aloof, histrionic or busybody.

I just finished reading The Time Machine.

Bummer, no sirens that make the Eloi shuffle off to the sphinx.  No talking rings.

But still, the 1960 movie is a much better adaptation than the 2002 version.
