Today I played grey-suited economist at the Treasury, wearing our serious faces. Discussion was lively and sophisticated, and had a $$ slant that one would expect given the company. I have said previously that I have a home cat and an away cat. Away cat, Waldorf, was small and charming and rascally, with more adventure than sense. I know that it's just because they're sucking up my body heat, but I still enjoy it. One slept on my shoulder last night and the one currently purring in my lap is in danger for making me late for work.

Kiwiburn was great, and next year will be even better. We've apparently entered not-yet-dead plaything season for the cats. Last night I entered the bathroom in my robe, to discover that fractal had a full-size rat cornered behind the toilet. I used to have 2 cats. Now I have something like 1.25 cats (1.5 if you count statler's girth as more than 1 standard cat-unit, although that's a different issue). Waldorf has taken to wandering in the past 3 months, sometimes for more than a week at a time.
