Today I played grey-suited economist at the Treasury, wearing our serious faces. Discussion was lively and sophisticated, and had a $$ slant that one would expect given the company. It's been very interesting to go from ministry to ministry and see what different flavours they have. Friday is a targeted internal presentation and half-day meeting of heavy hitters. Then next Wednesday we present to a general internal audience, which is the last presentation currently calendared. I'm relieved.

I had a bit of a woe-is-me moment last night as a result of feeling stretched too thin for too long (10-hour day combined with a southerly and the termination of daylight savings) at a time when Will is very busy with other things in the evening. But then I turned the heatpump on, which vastly improved the situation :) I am looking forward to taking a couple long weekends in May, after everything settles down. My boss has hinted at a variety of things that will manifest themselves, but there is the expectation that things will be cruisy for a couple months while certain things across the organization and across government to play out.

In other news, Statler has done something unidentifiable to his left front leg and is moving with a pronounced limp. I'm anxiously keeping an eye on him, and wondering if this is a result of some engagement with the tiny!cat (Yuki), who he outmasses by a factor of 2.5. My cat is a bit of a wuss.
