I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. I rode Sham and Smoke, and I did some bridlework with Logan. I put the English bridle on him cause Sham uses the same bit. Cut his chomping down to nothing. I think he was chomping and gaping cause he could; I had the noseband on, and I had it on the third hole, so that he couldn't gape his mouth. He chewed, but he wasn' ( Read more... )

Woo! Progress! This morning I nailed that left diagonal about 98% of the time booyah! I rode Sham this morning and Smoke and Kissy this afternoon. Sham had issues with the roundpen gate, we'll have to work on it. Did lots of trotting to find my left diagonal, I could really feel it this morning. Was going to get up at 8 and ride this morning... ended up getting up at 9 and riding this morning. I rode Smokey, it was... interesting, we did more trotting than I had originally planned on, but he had energy, so we trotted. Had a good afternoon; took Kirsten and Brenda for a ride. All three horses were VERY good, Smoke was an angel about leg yeilding, it was nice to know that he IS capable of listening to me, it's just taken a LONG time to get to that point.
