I just spent the last half hour using scotch tape to tape a leaf back onto my jade plant. Well, not *completely* tape it back on, cause that would be kinda hard with only scotch tape, but it was mostly broken off. Well, half broken off... Little more, maybe - enough so that, provided I kept the leaf straight, it could still get water and stuff. ( Read more... )

Last summer there was a flower sale at the Y in which we hadn't been able to do any advertising for because we didn't find out it was happening until the day before it happened. So, I got a bunch of nice plants for 50 cents to 1 dollar per pot/cluster/whatever those annoying plastic flimsy 4 or 6 sectioned containers are called. One of the plants ( Read more... )

We did a botanical tour of Powers Bluff and the Eau Plain flowage area this afternoon. Was cold, slightly windy, and a bit wet, but for the most part had a good time. Planted more flowers today. I now have my double petunias planted and the little purple white flowers I picked up that didn't come with a card. My moss roses are still in the little plastic container they came in, but I'm hoping to get to those tomorrow. Otherwise all my flowers are planted *and* still alive, which is the best part.
