Been a VERY busy week!!
The Project is coming to a close for the summer so of course Dr. Mattei is rushing to get everything done.

Yesterday Wed. 6/26- Boat Trip!!! It was a beautiful, hot summer day out. And of course there is a very funny story to go along with the day. So I spent Tues going over all the GPS/sonar stuff. I was supposed to bring ( Read more... )

Monday the 24th, we went to PSEG. That's right people- the power plant!! (*insert lone clapper here*)  Was very very hot outside. Have some pics of yours truly being a moron. We constructed the crab cube. Dr. Beekey couldn't find the t-joints for the corners so me and Gabe used yellow electrical tape. See pic below!!

Getting a little sad since there's only a little over a week of the project still left. It was sure an experience. All the going over data and getting conclusions will happen over the school year so I can make some credits and go to adult science fairs (haha that's what I call them).

So, crabbing is slowly dwindling down. Last week Gabe and I went out to the beach we found none or a dead one. A little sad but their mating season IS over so they move on to bigger & better this...i.e..THE OCEAN ( Read more... )

Yesterday I got up early to go bring Dr. Mattei the copies of the intake so she could go to PSEG and tell the diver what measurments we still needed. Except for the fact I couldn't find the copies I had and Lord knows she couldn't (INSANELY disorganized). So then she started getting mad at me- and Amber had said I didn't leave anything at home. It was really rainy this morning so we didn't have to go out on the beach!:D Instead we stayed in the bio lab and typed up data and tried to figure out this crazy diagram of the intake where the measurments were so off.
