Today I was down at the harbour checking out what they had for Canada Day (though Canada Day is technically tomorrow, they decided to hold events all weekend.) I downloaded an app called Instragram for my iPod Touch on Boxing Day because it was temporarily free and because it seems like a lot of my iPhone-owning Twitter friends use it. It's just a very simple photo editing program. It allows you to do things like change the brightness, change the colour to sepia or black and white, and I think it lets you ( Read more... )

The other day when I stepped out of my apartment and walked down the hall, I found this little tortoiseshell kitty at the end of the hall. I took the picture with my phone -- she wouldn't hang around long enough for me to take a picture with my 'real' camera -- so it's sadly very blurry and oddly coloured. This is a mural painted on a wall down the street from where I live. The cats in the mural spaceship are wearing Star Trek: TOS uniforms. Monster and I stopped and actually took a close look at it for the first time today; I don't know how long it's actually been there.

I got up this morning around nine a.m., grabbed a drink to dampen my dry throat and raise my blood sugar, and after I'd been up for about 15 or 20 minutes one of the cats asked to be let out on to the balcony.
