I took in Rosebud for a second opinion on Saturday, paid for by the Animal Crusaders. This vet said that she thought Rosie had a cancerous tumour, and she said she'd do a biopsy on Monday. So I took Rosie back yesterday, and I asked Rosie's regular vet to provide the pre-anesthetic test results to the new vet. Those results made the new vet even ( Read more... )

I contacted several animal rescue groups, and in my e-mail to them I described a little bit about Rosie (using her "real" name, Rosebud) and mentioning that I adopted her almost exactly 11 months ago. I took Rosie kitty to the vet today because her left eye was swollen almost shut, had a lot of gunk in it and was bright red. As I figured he would, the vet told me that I absolutely had to get Rosie in for surgery. However, things have gotten worse now. I couldn't get hold of Rosie's vet today, maybe because of the holiday. I did go to the store and get some different cat food, because for some unknown reason all three of the cats have suddenly taken a dislike to Whiskas. Rosebud has lived with me for three months now, and she's the most relaxed, laid-back cat I know. She rivals Persians for how calm she is. The only times she gets excited are when she is overdue to receive her gooshy food and when Chaya hisses or growls at her.
