Yesterday wasn't ideal, but it was certainly better than the other days. It was actually warm, and the sun actually made an appearance a few times, and patrons actually showed up. I'm at my favorite Raleigh haunt, Cup A Joe's. I had dinner at the urbane and sophisticated Waffle House down the street from here. My waitress was very nice, and I was one of only 3 customers in the whole joint, so we had a brief conversation. She's from Louisiana, less than 100 miles outside New Orleans.
