Rosehip Melomel (Mead) 1DJ
4Lb Rosehips (washed)
4Lb Honey
6pts water
15g citric acid
mead yeast (L. D47) & nutrient
Boil the rosehips in the water for 10mins. Cool and then crush with hands and pour through muslin.
Add the honey, citric acid, nutrient and yeast. Stir til dissolved.
Put in DJ
NOTE: Fermentation was slow to start, 1 tsp nutrient was added
