Well, I FINALLY saw Inception; I'd only wanted to since early July. I really enjoyed it: lots of cool action, good acting, great visuals, and Cillian Murphy*. Good stuff.

Oh, and the birds appear to be back to normal. I'm glad.

*I only wish his role had been larger.

"Secret Smile" was good, but it physically hurt to watch it. The first half especially was a really detailed look both at the frustration of trying to get anyone (friend or authority figure) to recognize stalking as something more sinister than a failed love affair and at the pain of seeing all of one's relationships sour because of one person's ( Read more... )

We went to the Big Apple Circus on Tuesday. It was AMAZING! Probably the best acrobatics I've ever seen. Seriously, there was a guy riding a unicycle. . . on a slack wire. . . pedaling with his hands because he was standing on his head. We just got a parakeet! She has a lovely blue and white pattern, and is very talkative (no, she doesn't speak English. She more just sort of warbles a lot). The story, it seems, is that her original owners kept her for a year (without naming her!), then decided they were tired of her, and were going to "set her free."
