Meredith's father is back from Iraq! I saw him last night! He hugged me and we talked! The three of us are going to dinner tonight! Everyone's happy! It's so awesome!

Me: We also found a big horseshoe crab.
Meredith: I like horseshoe crabs. They're so domed and silly.
Me: ::giggle:: Yes. Very silly.
Me: With the pointy tails and the seeming sense of purpose.
Meredith: "Pummedown! Pummedown! I got stuffs to do! I was going somewhere!"

Well, here it is Saturday. I slept til almost 2, even though I went to bed at midnight. Clearly I needed the sleep. I had planned on going to the laundromat today (dryer is still broken) but it looks more like I'll do that tomorrow. Laundry is key, though - currently I'm wearing grass-stained jeans. Last night Meredith came over, and we ate Chinese food from Hai Hong (tasty!) and watched "How to Irritate People." Then she left, and I used the computer for a while. Then I literally fell asleep on my keyboard. I'm serious, I woke up at six and found i had typed a page of "nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" in the middle of "Don't Quit Your Day Job." ( Read more... )

It's fall break at Cornell, from this past Saturday to tomorrow (Tuesday). Of course, that theoretically doesn't apply to me, what with the Sears job. However, I only had to work Friday night.
