I was just about to app as Stephen for the first time when I saw your app for him in the slot, and I literally flipped out and texted everyone I knew. :-D The Dollars Trilogy are some of my favourite movies, and you being here and being the totally most kick-ass Clint Eastwood ever roleplayed is like having my own personal movie sequel going on right in front of me. Thank you for being so totally badass, and putting up with my Stephen's crush, and being the best Old West crime partnership husband EVER.

No, no, here we go: thank you! That's more like it. Thank you :D Thank you so much. Knowing that you know TMWNN's canon, knowing that you not only know but love his canon, knowing that you not only know but love his canon and think I'm doing well with him--? Well, I don't think I can ask for anything more. I do worry about some of the shenanigans I've gotten him into and whether I'm doing all right with his characterization--I mean, he's completely, totally iconic and archetypal, so one dares not fuck it up--so I hope you'll give me a swift kick if I start wandering into some weird characterization territory or something. So...every time HMD comes around, I find myself required to eat my words a little. You remember. That suggestion I gave you many moons ago that Rosella could turn into a Mary Sue, so be careful

Speaking of things that always come up, I know I always say this at some point on HMD or another, but really, some of my favorite moments with Rosella are the times when I get to take fairy-tale logic and play it completely straight, often with hilarious results because of it. (I remember one time when we still had Warden elections and someone was trying to explain representative democracy to Rosella, and I got to stretch my debating muscles and argue that democracy makes no sense and monarchy is obviously the way to go, because that's what Rosella would think.) So I think that part of what helps to keep her feeling real is taking a kind of tongue-in-cheek approach to her worldview and playing around with that. In a way, I've almost gotten a little bit meta with the Pretty Pretty Princess thing, since Rosella's sort of developed a habit of consciously picking out all the ways that she's not. But she really has never been a traditional sort of princess (she was

OH LMAO ♥ Well, see, that's how he operates, for good or ill. It's not that he's denying what happened, but he's so nonchalant about all these sorts of things, like reputations and eloping and women and curses. I mean, it was a curse. And he's as tired of the post-curse apologies and srs bzns discussions as he is of the curses themselves. He doesn't like the curses, but he's gotten a little more cavalier about them. So, cruel as it sounds, I don't think he set out to cheer her up--really, I think it was just the usual banter. But it did happen, and I am glad of that.

Your Caspian is HILARIOUS and I always find myself giggling like an idiot whenever I read any of your posts. Caspian antagonizing servant!Stephen on the Versailles weekend was one of my favourite things that happened for that curse. I can always hear Caspian's voice so clearly in my head when I read your posts. Congrats on being able to have fun with your character and still keeping his character voice 100% in tact.
