Caru! What is there left to be said?

It actually makes my LIFE to have Nameless Guy here. I was just about to app as Stephen for the first time when I saw your app for him in the slot, and I literally flipped out and texted everyone I knew. :-D The Dollars Trilogy are some of my favourite movies, and you being here and being the totally most kick-ass Clint Eastwood ever roleplayed is like having my own personal movie sequel going on right in front of me. Thank you for being so totally badass, and putting up with my Stephen's crush, and being the best Old West crime partnership husband EVER.

NEVER STOP BEING AWESOME.

I don't know, I'm so tl;dr that I'm not sure I've left anything to be said at all. By anyone. Ever.

No, no, here we go: thank you! That's more like it. Thank you :D Thank you so much. Knowing that you know TMWNN's canon, knowing that you not only know but love his canon, knowing that you not only know but love his canon and think I'm doing well with him--? Well, I don't think I can ask for anything more. I do worry about some of the shenanigans I've gotten him into and whether I'm doing all right with his characterization--I mean, he's completely, totally iconic and archetypal, so one dares not fuck it up--so I hope you'll give me a swift kick if I start wandering into some weird characterization territory or something. I know I'd appreciate it. But I'm glad I'm doing all right so far. ...because he's a lot of fun to play. (And it was just such a sudden, random, lols-fueled decision to app him too. The universe clearly had a scheme ( ... )

Thank you! Pulling a character from a rural and anachronistic 1870mumblemumble and tossing him into an urban and techno-savvy place like the City seemed like it was going to be tricky. To say nothing of, you know, characterization stuff in the middle of just the technical details. But I think it's worked out better than I expected and that's pretty good. It took a little tweaking and thinking, but if it's coming across as believable, that's excellent. That's definitely better than expected. I mean, he's even managed to hassle other characters--what more can I ask for? Like Dean, for example, who is a lot of fun to talk to with Yojimbo!USA over there.

So, thank you! I guess I'm doing something right with him, so I think I'll keep on doing what I'm doing. And I hope I can throw the cowboy at Dean a few more times. I enjoyed their threads too and I'd love to have more of them.

"Jeb" is also on the ongoing and growing list of names now. We thank you for your kind contribution to the Nickname The Man With No Name Fund.

GDI FIRSTY THIS ICON IS FOR YOU.

Cain: So last time on HMD I mentioned that I thought Cain could stand to get out and snooping a little more and do his investigative thing when plots came up, while still leaving plenty of room between his new level of snoopiness and hitting the point of infomodding. And in my past three months of totally stalking everything he does gameplay, I've definitely seen improvement in that! I love that he's poking into people's business, reading their threads, occasionally threadjacking where appropriate, and getting in on the bandwagon to move and shake things when plots come up. It was great that he really brought the Doom Train Exploration Group together and it's always fun to see him gearing up for an adventure, to say nothing of him having to deal with the rather repugnant idea of defending a city he hates while he's at it. It's so great to see and I think it's really done good things for getting him out of the Opera House and up into people's business ( ... )

And this icon is for you, though only for the meta-levels, not for the actual expression.I think a lot of things came together all at just the right time for that jump in investigative shenanigans. The ongoing plots gave him (and me) a lot of opportunities for investigating things, picking things apart, bringing up old things he knew or noticed, good stuff like that. The whole Doom Train Excursion kind of just came out of nowhere. I saw a lot of characters talking about doing something, but nothing seemed to be really forming up solidly, so I just jumped for it. I'm glad it worked out. I need to keep on doing that, getting up in other people's business, investigating things. I mean, Cain can be a total troll like that. And it would do me well to keep on keeping on. I had fun with it, anyway, so ( ... )

I CAN'T STOP LOVING THAT ICON, CARU. THAT ICON AND I ARE GOING TO WRITE A BAD ROMANCE.

I for one am glad you jumped on it! I definitely think it was at the point where someone needed to (and I was secretly staring despondently at my cast like ...GDI none of them are suited for this nooooooo) and I think it really gave him an opportunity to chat it up with a bunch of different people, which is never a bad thing. KEEP DOING THAT THING YOU DO.

Someday. One of these days. RIGHT INTO THE LAKE.

I will keep tabs out for Maria and what she's doing in the future and chuck Finnick her way when I get the chance. The "uuu"ing may drive him crazy but HE WILL DEAL. o/

...Yes. But mostly because I was naming him after the doctor's sidekick in Dr. McNinja. Which in turn expresses my desire to someday see Poncho-kun ride a velociraptor named Yoshi, but so it goes.

A VERY BAD ROMANCE, INDEED, JUDGING BY THE ICON THERE...

Ha ha ha--doesn't that frustrate you when that happens? It gets to me, at least. Of all things, I find myself sometimes wishing for an adult female character so I could "shop" for pretty things for her to wear to the City-wide balls and parties that pop up sometimes :'( Yes, I'm shallow. Hush. But, anyway.

He's for sure going to try and keep in touch with the people who went down there with him. He'd like to, idk, debrief everyone or something, but so much time has passed it may not work. But he is going to try and talk to those people again. After having been through that...

HE'S BEEN IN THERE BEFORE. NOTHING NEW THERE.

Cool, cool. HEY, MAN. THE "UUU"S ARE MAGIC. THEY MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY.

...Well, then. ...a velociraptor might be more badass than the used Toyota desert rat of a horse he's got... (Not that he doesn't loev teh horse, of course...)

RA2 + AH3 + ROMA(1 + MA)

That is precisely the reason why I have spent the past three days staring in mounting frustration at a blank OC app in Wordpad. I NEED A FIGHTER. And that's not shallow at all, I geek out over shopping for Rosella ALL THE TIME.

THE TENTACLES ARE NEW THIS TIME. ALSO THE BIG BAND WARBLING.

Even "uuu"ing cannot make Finnick happy, Maria. :( His is a tragic life.

Maybe someday someone will store their velociraptor in the Barn and he can side-eye it for a while before taking it out for a joyride. >>

I don't think that works, given the Order of Operations...

HA HA HA, well, fair enough. And I always support both fighters and OCs (well, I try to support everyone and everything, so...).

The big band warbling is new, I'll give you this.

WELL, DAMN, FINNICK. IDK, man, if magic doesn't work...

That really would be sort of flippin' sweet... The Man With No Name has a velociraptor. Your argument is irrelevant.

I really really like the "We get along but don't really get along but get along" weirdness of Cain and Flynn. I feel like it should go somewhere.

...not, like, romance. Or friendship. But...drama? /is a maker of sense

Caru, I may not have tagged That Nameless Dude, but I've certainly read a great deal of his threads, and he's kind of hilarious. I like your voice for him, I like how I can almost see him go, " . . . are you fucking kidding me?" and stare away into the sunset hoping a fragment of intelligence finally hits his interlocutors. Maybe one day, Nameless Dude. Maybe one day.

Also: moar Maria, plz.

You read his threads... Stalker-san... No, no, no: |D GOOD. This is what we want--your reaction, I mean.

His default mode is so often, "Srsly? >:|" so I'm glad that's coming through loud and clear--and with some lulz. He's really such an over-the-top Old West comic book superhero kind of character that you can't take him too seriously, but he's still played straight. That's the wonders of the Deconstructed Western, I guess. It's the strangest thing trying to play it straight and serious and extreme all at once because that's both the right and the lulzy way to do it. But his canon is so GRR GAR RAWR BADASS that there's no other way to do it. I mean, where else can you get the most intense three minutes of three guys doing absolutely nothing in all of movie history? Nowhere ( ... )

What's up, Cowboy. ♥

OKAY SO. Ignoring my activity fail, I absolutely do plan to get back on track with the silent ones. (We should plan a curse, perhaps? A plot and a curse? A day of masculinity and camping in the forest on the trail?)

I can't say too much about your Cowboy's characterization because I'm not familiar with his canon, but I really enjoy playing Ben against him. I often thought of him while reading Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian's, especially during his long descriptions of the west. He's authentic, in other words! (Does our cowboy here partake in the excellent art and business of scalping? Probably not. XD)

BUT DIGRESSION ASIDE. He's the only character that doesn't make Ben 'o_O'. That is his perpetual interior expression, 'cause the City and its folks ought to be things from another planet, considering how strange the lot of them are.

I also wanted you to know that Amory (fatespoken) considers Dr. Laszlo the most interesting deity, and member of the City.
