Been ton long since I've checked into LJ.

Went to NYC today for lunch, and I'm still full from it. There is a cheesecake in my fridgalator for tomorrow. So I didn't go to school today, even though there WAS school today.

I have a lot less to say than I thought I did. Huh.

I have two papers concerning the play Box by Edward Albee due tomorrow, and only sketches of them done. I need to post some brief frustration here, though. I have not had an opportunity to watch Doctor Who, which has been just sitting there, teasing me.

I've been gone for a bit -- got back from NYC at 1 am this morning, slept, then went to 10 am practice at the school. It was only mildly exhausting. The trip was really great and very refreshing for me. I finally got to go to Central Park, which was probably my favourite part of the whole thing. Although I also saw August: Osage County. Yesterday, my English teacher learned how to play Heads Up, Seven Up. I don't like the game, and I had a bad experience the last time high school students attempted to play it. But that is beside the point.

I have a few other books I want to read (and that I need to read for Hersh's term paper), so Fell will have to wait.

I am the official RP person on the set of Skriker. This bascially means that as I sit and watch them play, if they are unsure of how to say a line in Recieved Pronounciation, I say it for them to hear. This makes me rather self-concious of my RP accent. I will also be having a time learning Lancshire accent, or "Lanky," as it were? Fact is, I hope ( Read more... )

Basically, when we showed up, Dan was being questioned by the police, and he had no clue what was going on -- the burgler alarm was going off and Hersh wasn't there yet. Saw the Christmas show today. It was really cute, and obviously involved a lot of talent. It isn't sometihng to do every year, but still, quite nice, I'm glad I went. Bought a cashmere scarf (plaid) for $5. I'm a sale shopper -- almost everywhere they were $10. Ha. Also visited St. Peter's, where some young adults did not ( Read more... )

1. I discovered I cannot audition for The Sound of Music or The House of Barnarda Alba because I am Asst. Director/Production Manager/Asst. Light Designer for The Skriker. Ok, I got back from NYC, and let me just say that the show was incredible. This was the last night of previews -- tommorrow is opening night, and the cast kicks butt! Max and Laura were fantastic, and the overall ensemble dynamic was great! I has Mezzanine B seats, and my mother wanted to steal a Juliet box. Heh.
