Ok, I got back from NYC, and let me just say that the show was incredible. This was the last night of previews -- tommorrow is opening night, and the cast kicks butt! Max and Laura were fantastic, and the overall ensemble dynamic was great! I has Mezzanine B seats, and my mother wanted to steal a Juliet box. Heh. Anyway, round of applause for those Greasers!
And the bus wasn't silent! Yay! Apparently I get a different bus than everyone else. Hemh. And on the way back, this eigyear old girl was listening to the MOVIE soundtrack to Hairspray -- and everyone around her could hear every. single. word. Talk about annoying, not to mention deafening to the oblivious young girl. I kept expecting the mother to tell her to turn it down, but no. And the little girl (I don't think she knew the tunes) had the lyrics in her hand and was attempting to sing along. Mental, I'm tellin' you. And the mum says NOTHING. Anyway, the singer his this one high note, and my sister and I threw each other these "h-oh boy, this is nuts" looks, and you should have seen the mother's face! She looked like she wanted to chuck knives into our flesh! Geez, woman!
Nothing really new otherwise, except that I think Chris is taking the SM job for Scapin, a play at school this school year. And jolly good for him! He likes SMing, though he can't be IN the only play this year with plentiful roles for men. It's all good, though.
Cheers!
