I think one of the USB ports on my computer is dying, or, at least, messed up. My gorgeous new HP scanner/copier/printer suddenly started acting up when I tried to use the Copy function, and also kept insisting I had a paper jam when I tried to scan something and wouldn't let me scan. I just finished taking out, setting up, and testing the second modem sent to me by Qwest to replace my old modem. The first one they sent never did get me on the Internet, and it had a defective or missing internal filter -- it was supposed to allow me to plug my landline phone into it, so that I could talk over the phone while online, but, like ( Read more... )

Remind me to never, ever purchase anything made or retailed by Apple.

The internal filter on my modem went out, so I can't use the phone when the modem is jacked into the outlet, because otherwise the static is so bad it's impossible for me to hear anyone on the other hand if a call comes in or I make a call. So I called Qwest, and they said it was a modem problem, and sent me a new modem for around $90. I can't ( Read more... )
