Two things I've noticed lately:
The first is about LiveJournal. For weeks, every time I went online, on checking LiveJournal, I found I'd been signed out by LiveJournal or AOL or whatever. Now that's stopped, and once more I can respond to comments accessed through my email without having to worry about whether I'm signed in to LiveJournal or not. Yet I've done nothing to correct the problem, because I don't know how, and the answers I got to questions about it didn't give me useful information about how to go about solving it.
The other is that a highly distressing tendency of my computer to change the default setting of the ordering of folders I try to access, especially those I try to open from my browser when I'm online, and not let me see any way to change it to alphabetical sort, that plagued me for several months, went away around last November and hasn't returned. Having to play Hunt the Folder by eyeball on trying to find whatever it is from my browser has been a real pain in the ass. Again, nothing I tried as far as correcting it worked, including information emailed to me by others or left as comments on my blog. Seemingly, however, it cleared up on its own, and hasn't bothered me for some time.
I guess I've had a change of gremlins or something. I certainly won't complain. I just hope the new gremlins hang out here for a while -- I reallly don't want to go back to unthinkingly responding to a comment on a post or comment of mine and finding I've just made an anonymous comment on my or someone else's blog rather than one with me signed in, or go to look for a file on my hard drive and find out, the hard way, that the files are no longer accessible in alphabetical order, that I have to hunt for what I want on my own hard drive, and that there is no evident way of changing the default to anything else.
