After reading this post in the Twin Peaks community, I got to thinking ...

While there's a natural physical resemblance between Austin Jack Lynch (Mrs. Tremond's grandson) and his father, David (Gordon Cole), I'm wondering if the similarities aren't played up on purpose. Is this yet another example of twinning in Twin Peaks?

Just a few scattered impressions, as I'm a bit spacy right now. Y'see, I started at about 11 pm last night and finished up around 6 am this morning, then got about four hours of sleep before having to get up to head to my sister's for lunch.

The fourth season of Alias started slowly. This was due in part to the need to resolve certain key issues from Season 3, and in part because ABC foolishly decided to air a few S4 episodes out of order. I started re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban last night. Also re-watched the BBC production of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere (which actually predated the novelization). I enjoyed Naomi Watts' performance in Mulholland Dr., and am curious to see The Ring. While I doubt it will be dark, dreamy, surreal goodness of the Lynch variety, that's a treat that one only gets every so often.
