This is huge: The Graveyard Book won the 2009 Newbery Medal. While I felt sure that Neil Gaiman's place as a remembered author was already secure, this certainly helps to cement it. Well done!

We did have the library, though, and I went through various reading phases as a youngster: I read all the Greek myths, I read Shakespeare, and I read science fiction.
