So, I have discovered something awesome - the North Carolina General Assembly has a live audio feed of their sessions. Asheville has it too, though they tend to have technical difficulties. For yesterday being such a great day - and it was - I wrote surprisingly cranky things. Anyway, rain should be coming soon, crossing fingers hoping the clover I planted everywhere actually does something and it's not too late... threw down tons of annual red clover, which is grown as a winter crop. So, we've had little luck with our small group of little red fish in the aquarium for some time, when finally, we bought a few more and suddenly... a population explosion. They're pretty, but now the tank is overfull and the algae, while is also pretty in it's own way, is fairly out of control.

I don't have any decent photos at this time, my camera phone has decided to be fuzzy at all times, but the pond that V dug by hand in the community garden? It already has frogs!! They are very cute. Today I saw a live vaginal birth. No pain medications, nothing for nausea, just pushing and grunting and the room filled with the most incredible energy... and out popped a squirming pink baby! It was truly amazing.

I really like OB, as it turns out. It just feels so... clean. There isn't the stench of disease, death, and/or madness. Well ( Read more... )
