Spartacus on the left, Rumi on the top, wildly knocking over the potted plant. This is the biofilter on top of the aquarium. Rumi is on a structure at least 6' tall. After I took this picture I unceremoniously dumped them off, and then had to repeat said dumping off several more times - Rumi's route entails running past the delicate orchids and stomping on the aero roots of the monstera deliciousa. Removal has damaged some of the pothos we have draped everywhere. They weren't doing this yesterday.
To distract them today, I've gone back to a diehard technique - pin a piece of rope or cord to the seat of your plants or edge of your shirt, like a tail. Clean. They eventually wear themselves out chasing after it.
Cat bites: The skin has been sloughing off my finger in thick layers. It's weird, and the fresh pink skin underneath is very raw and sensitive. Sensation is still numb/tingly/off, but improved without the giant scabs. Swelling still present, but continues to diminish. It amuses me to compost all of these skin chunks.
Earl is teasing me, wants me to become president of the neighborhood organization. I told him HELL NO in the politest way possible. What is it with people wanting me to take leadership positions lately?? Besides I'd have to show up to meetings more than twice a year.
