The last trip to NC was quick. We were still recovering from the previous one, and didn't feel up to snuff to accomplish much. But we did get internet set up there, and dug into the kitchen a bit. So the brilliant, graceful, and slightly older kitten has been teaching the younger, clumsy, not so bright kitten. First antibiotic didn't work. Dr. suspects MRSA, though I don't know about that. Lymph nodes are fine and no tell-tale red streaks. Lancing w/o pain meds HURTS, don't let them tell you otherwise!! New antibiotics, and the exudate has been sent to lab for a c/s. Very expensive visit, but now I know for reals how to lance a pus-filled wound ( Read more... )

I've been sickish all weekend. Our window AC units have been running to the extent of their ability, but it hasn't been enough with this record-breaking weather. I get sluggish and ill when I can't cool down. My sleep has been thrown off as well, I just woke up but haven't been sleeping long. Throat hurts so much I've given up talking for now. So far it's been mildly entertaining, scribbling down questions to V (my handwriting is not the easiest for him to discern).
