I spent a good chunk of today making hair tassels. Yesterday I bought a package gray hair at the beauty supply place (and it really is a lovely thundercloud color). I went to the fabric store today and bought me a metric fuckton of kickass halloween fabric. It was on sale, marked from $20 a yard down to $7 a yard. Ivan the magpie Siamese cannot resist all the little sparkly beads. He got into them and pulled down a piece of fishing line strung with black crystal beads and the beads went EVERYWHERE. Pink Siamese is pissed off.

It occurs to me that the hemp twine just isn't working for me. It's too stiff and my thumbs are all raw from working with it. So the cat now has lots of fringy hemp cat toys and I have a big old ball of jute twine that I picked up at the craft store this morning.
