So, just a brief update. I promise to do a proper update soon, because so much has happened. At the moment, though, I have covid. I will be fine, but I feel horrific.

Very overwhelmed, crying at the drop of a hat, exhausted physically and emotionally. I feel like I am drowning.

Wow, I've been away for awhile.

My 37th (ugh) birthday was March 11. I was not happy about it. I felt, and still feel, like I don't really have anything to show for my life. I've achieved nothing, nothing memorable about me, nothing to leave behind when I die someday.

She was 15, and I rescued her when she was 2.  Her previous owner didn't want her anymore, and was going to have her put to sleep simply because she didn't want her anymore.  So I took the dog (then, named Ginger), planning to find a home for her (I'd done this for 2 other of this woman's dogs).  I couldn't find a home for this dog, though.  And I ( Read more... )

A couple of days ago, my cat Luna started getting sick.  Her eye was swollen and seeping, and she was sneezing a bit.  She acted like she didn't feel good.

I took her to the vet yesterday, and they had to bring in an animal eye specialist to look at her.

Long story, short:  Luna has cancer.  It started in her sinus cavity, and has spread to her eye ( Read more... )
